Manufacturing Stories: Meet Putu

We think it is important to feature exactly who made the clothes you wear, so we all remember that everything we touch has a story and a beginning.  Here, we feature a few of our slow fashion artisans in Bali in our ongoing series. Next up, meet Putu!

Question: What is your name?
Putu

Question: What is your occupation (are they a beader, knitter, etc.)
I Iron finished garments in small sewing workshop

Question: How long have you been working in the industry?
I have only been working in the industry for 6 months

Question: What do you enjoy about your job?
I enjoy my job - I like that it is not stressful that it’s not too difficult

Question: What do you do for fun when you’re not working?
I am also a housewife - I actually just got married.

Question: Where did you learn your skill set ?
I learned from Gaday how to do garment pressing, and finishing, and other skills. It is a great environment
