Manufacturing Stories: Meet Wayan

We think it is important to feature exactly who made the clothes you wear, so we all remember that everything we touch has a story and a beginning.  Here, we feature a few of our slow fashion artisans in Bali in our ongoing series. Next up, meet Wayan!

Question: What is your name?
Wayan

Question: What is your occupation (are they a beader, knitter, etc.)
I am a sewer in small workshop

Question: How long have you been working in the industry?
I have been working in the industry for 20 years

Question: What do you enjoy about your job?
I like that I can do work at home and also come in and work together at the workshop

Question: What do you do for fun when you’re not working?
I am also a housewife, so I do a lot of housework and taking care of family when I'm not working.  It is a great balance.

Question: Where did you learn your skill set ?
I took a sewing course here in Bali which taught me.
